What is a Schedule Line Category in SAP SD?

A Schedule Line Category controls delivery schedules and stock availability for each sales order item. It determines whether stock is checked and when goods are delivered. Main Functions: • Stock Availability Check • Delivery Date • Goods Movement • Requirement Transfer

A customer orders 100 chairs. Only 60 are available today, and the remaining 40 will be available next week. SAP creates two schedule lines for separate deliveries.
