What is the SAP System Landscape?

Answer

SAP systems are divided into three environments. Development (DEV) Developers create new objects. Quality (QA) Testing team validates changes. Production (PRD) End users use the live business system. Transport Flow Developer ↓ DEV ↓ QA ↓ PRD This ensures stable deployment without directly modifying the production system.

Real-Time Example

An ABAP developer creates a Smart Form in DEV. After testing, it is transported to QA. Business users approve it. Finally, BASIS imports the transport into Production.
