Explain SAP 3-Tier Architecture.

SAP follows a three-tier architecture. Presentation Layer Users access SAP using SAP GUI or Fiori. Application Layer Processes business logic, ABAP programs, work processes, and communication. Database Layer Stores all business and configuration data. The communication flow is: User → SAP GUI → Application Server → Database → Application Server → SAP GUI Benefits: • Better Performance • Scalability • High Availability • Load Balancing

A sales employee creates a Sales Order. SAP GUI sends the request. Application Server executes VA01. Data is saved in the HANA database. The confirmation returns to the user
