What is Search Help in SAP ABAP? Where have you used it in your project?

1. Search Help is used to provide a list of possible values for a field. 2. It helps users select valid data instead of entering values manually. 3. Search Help improves user experience and reduces data entry errors. 4. It can be attached to table fields, screen fields, selection screens, and custom applications. 5. In my projects, I have created Search Helps for Vendor Numbers, Customer Numbers, Material Numbers, and Employee IDs. 6. Search Help allows users to search and select data quickly without remembering exact values.

Real-Time Project Scenario – Vendor Selection 1. In one project, users had to enter Vendor Numbers while creating a custom procurement report. 2. The client had more than 50,000 vendors. 3. Users could not remember Vendor Numbers. 4. We created a Search Help based on table LFA1. 5. Users entered part of the vendor name. 6. SAP displayed matching vendors. 7. Users selected the correct vendor from the list. 8. This reduced data entry mistakes significantly. 9. The report became more user-friendly. 10. Business users appreciated the enhancement.
