Job Description
Bachelor’s degree/master’s degree in Information Technology, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Software, Electronics, Operational Research, or Computer System Engineering. Candidates possessing strong Microsoft SQL Server skills will be preferred. Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment. Strong grasp of Computer Science concepts. Experience in building highly available services, possessing knowledge of common service-oriented design patterns and service-to-service communication protocols. Experience with production operations and best practices for deploying quality code in production and troubleshooting issues when they arise. 5+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA, focusing on shipping scalable, cloud-native distributed systems. 1+ years of experience and working knowledge in scripting languages like Python, PLSQL, Perl, and/or Shell Scripting. 1+ years of experience in the development, management, and organization of Golden Gate replication. 1+ years of experience as Microsoft SQL Server DBA. 1+ years of experience in a scripting language such as Python, Perl, and/or Shell Scripting. 1+ years of experience in development in PLSQL. Ability to effectively communicate technical ideas verbally and in writing (technical proposals, design specifications, architecture diagrams, and presentations). Understanding of the end-to-end configuration, technical dependencies, and overall behavioral characteristics of production services. Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaaC) tools like Shepherd and Terraform. Knowledge of CI/CD Platforms and components such as Jenkins. Knowledge of orchestration tools like Ansible and Chef. Knowledge of version control using Git. Experience in Maximum Availability Architecture & Best Practices for Oracle Database & Exadata. Understanding of REST Architecture and JSON is a plus. Building and managing Linux OS systems with good understanding how the Linux kernel works (IO, Network, etc.) and ability to read and understand source code.
