About the Role Viraaj HR Solutions Private Limited is looking for an experienced Senior SAP ABAP Consultant to join its SAP technology team in Mumbai. This opportunity is suitable for professionals with 6–8 years of hands-on SAP ABAP development and consulting experience who are ready to take ownership of complex technical deliverables. The selected candidate will be responsible for SAP ABAP development, enhancements, interfaces, incident and change management, technical troubleshooting, and stakeholder coordination. The role requires strong expertise in ALE, IDoc, RICEF, BAPI, BAdI, User Exits, BDC, SAP Enhancements, and OSS Notes. The candidate should be capable of working independently, managing priorities, meeting SLA/KPI expectations, and collaborating effectively with functional teams, business stakeholders, and other technical teams. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, enhance, and maintain SAP ABAP applications based on business requirements. • Develop and maintain custom ABAP Reports and Interfaces. • Work extensively on RICEF development objects including Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and related technical components. • Develop and support SAP integration solutions using ALE and IDoc technologies. • Work with BAPIs, BAdIs, User Exits, Customer Exits, and BDC programs. • Analyze technical requirements and prepare appropriate technical solutions and specifications. • Implement SAP Enhancements while following SAP development standards and best practices. • Analyze and apply relevant SAP OSS Notes where required for technical issue resolution. • Perform debugging, root-cause analysis, troubleshooting, and performance optimization. • Handle incidents and change requests in accordance with defined support processes. • Monitor and manage SLA/KPI commitments for assigned technical activities. • Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to understand requirements and resolve issues. • Take ownership of technical deliverables from requirement analysis through development, testing, deployment, and support. • Support production environments and provide timely resolution for critical technical issues. • Prepare and maintain technical documentation for developments, enhancements, interfaces, and support activities. • Work independently while coordinating with distributed technical and functional teams. Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. • 6–8 years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience. • Strong experience in SAP ABAP development and technical consulting. • Strong knowledge of RICEF development. • Hands-on experience with ALE, IDoc, BAPI, BAdI, User Exits, and BDC. • Experience with SAP Enhancements and OSS Notes. • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills. • Experience handling incidents and change requests in SAP environments. • Understanding of SLA/KPI-driven support processes. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Good stakeholder communication and coordination skills. • Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned deliverables. • Relevant SAP certification is mandatory.
