About the Role PwC is looking for a Senior Associate – SAP ABAP to join its SAP Advisory team in Bengaluru. The role is suited for experienced SAP ABAP professionals with strong technical development expertise and hands-on experience with the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP), Object-Oriented ABAP, CDS Views, OData Services, and SAP S/4HANA. The selected candidate will work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping clients address complex business and technology challenges from strategy through execution. The role combines advanced SAP ABAP development with integration, Record-to-Report (RTR) interfaces, and SAP FI/CO business process understanding. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, enhance, and maintain SAP ABAP solutions for enterprise business requirements. • Develop applications using the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP). • Apply strong Object-Oriented ABAP programming principles in SAP development. • Develop and consume CDS Views and OData Services. • Support SAP Fiori integration and backend development requirements. • Work on SAP S/4HANA development and technical transformation initiatives. • Develop and support Record-to-Report (RTR) interfaces. • Design and maintain inbound and outbound interfaces across SAP and external systems. • Develop and support integrations using IDocs, RFCs, BAPIs, APIs, and integration frameworks. • Analyze technical requirements and translate them into scalable SAP solutions. • Work closely with SAP functional consultants and business stakeholders to understand business requirements. • Apply knowledge of FI/CO business processes and reporting requirements to develop appropriate technical solutions. • Perform debugging, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and technical issue resolution. • Support testing, defect resolution, deployment, and production support activities. • Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to solution development. • Prepare and maintain technical documentation for development and integration solutions. • Follow SAP development standards and contribute to quality and performance improvements. Required Qualifications • 7–10 years of relevant SAP ABAP experience. • Strong hands-on experience in SAP ABAP technical development. • Hands-on experience with ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP). • Strong expertise in Object-Oriented ABAP. • Experience with CDS Views and OData Services. • Experience with SAP Fiori backend integration. • Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA development concepts. • Hands-on experience with RTR / Record-to-Report interfaces. • Experience developing and supporting inbound and outbound interfaces. • Strong knowledge of IDocs, RFCs, BAPIs, APIs, and SAP integration frameworks. • Understanding of SAP FI/CO business processes and reporting requirements. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Good communication and stakeholder-management skills. • Bachelor's or master's degree or relevant professional qualification such as BE/B.Tech, MBA, MCA, M.Tech, CA, or ICWA.
