About the Role: Infosys is looking for a motivated SAP ABAP Consultant to join its SAP Technology practice in Bengaluru. This role is ideal for professionals with 1–2 years of SAP ABAP experience who are passionate about developing scalable SAP solutions and building expertise in SAP S/4HANA technologies. As an SAP ABAP Consultant, you will work alongside experienced consultants and architects to develop, enhance, and support SAP applications while contributing to enterprise digital transformation projects. You will gain exposure to modern SAP technologies, coding standards, and best practices in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Develop, enhance, and maintain SAP ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, conversions, forms, and enhancements. Write clean, efficient, and high-quality ABAP code following SAP development standards and best practices. Analyze functional requirements and prepare technical design documents. Develop and maintain ALV Reports, Module Pool programs, Function Modules, Classes, and Methods. Create and maintain Smart Forms, SAP Scripts, and Adobe Forms. Perform debugging, code analysis, and performance tuning to improve application efficiency. Work with Data Dictionary (DDIC) objects including Tables, Views, Structures, Domains, and Data Elements. Support production issues by identifying root causes and implementing timely solutions. Collaborate with functional consultants from MM, SD, FI, and HR modules to deliver integrated business solutions. Participate in unit testing, integration testing, transport management, and production deployments. Gain hands-on exposure to SAP S/4HANA technologies including CDS Views, AMDP, OData Services, and the RESTful ABAP Programming Model. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline. 1–2 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development. Good understanding of Core ABAP programming concepts. Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Good communication and technical documentation skills. Technical Skills: SAP ABAP Programming Internal Tables ALV Reports Function Modules Module Pool Programming Object-Oriented ABAP Smart Forms SAP Scripts Adobe Forms Data Dictionary (DDIC) Debugging Performance Tuning CDS Views (Basic) AMDP (Basic) OData / SAP Gateway (Basic) RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP - Introductory) SAP S/4HANA Concepts Preferred Skills: Exposure to SAP MM, SAP SD, SAP FI, or SAP HR modules. Basic understanding of SAP S/4HANA architecture. Familiarity with performance optimization techniques. Knowledge of Object-Oriented ABAP and SAP Workflow is an added advantage.
