• Work Processes execute user requests. • Each performs a specific task. • Configured during SAP installation. Types: • Dialog (DIA) • Background (BTC) • Update (UPD) • Enqueue (ENQ) • Spool (SPO) • Message (MSG)

A user creates a Purchase Order. • Dialog Process handles the request. • Update Process saves the data. • Spool Process prints the document if needed.
